Q. 1 What do we do?
We manage risks on behalf of exporters, specifically managing the political and commercial risks associated with the export of goods and services on credit terms.

Q. 2 What are the credit terms offered?
The buyer receives from 30 days up to 180 days as negotiated with the exporter and sanctioned by EXIMBANK
The credit period can begin from the date of shipment and upon presentation of shipping documents, or upon receipt of goods in the buyers country.

Q. 3 What are the benefits to the exporter?
Exporter’s international competitiveness improves as they can now offer better delivery terms than the competition without the attendant risks.
Exporters now have the confidence to seek buyers further afield, and in emerging markets, leading to increased export sales.

Q. 7 What are the procedures?
Firstly, one has to fill out the following forms which can be downloaded from our FORMS menu on the homepage
- Credit Procedures Questionnaire

Proposal for Comprehensive Risks Policy

Application for Credit Limit

These completed forms are then submitted to EXIMBANK for processing and the required approvals.
You would then be advised as to the status of your request and the time period for commencement of business.
